The Cake by Bekah Brunstetter – Directed by Paul Michael Brinker. Della makes cakes, not judgement calls – those she leaves for her husband, Tim. But when the girl she helped raise comes back home to North Carolina to get married, and the fiancé is actually a fiancée, Della’s life gets turned upside down. She can’t really make a cake for such a wedding, can she? For the first time in her life, Della has to think for herself. Performances are October 6-8 and 13-15.

The Games Afoot (or Holmes For The Holidays) by Ken LudwigDirected by Luke Krueger.
It is December 1936, and Broadway star William Gilette admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. It is then up to Gilette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are nonstop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays. Performances are December 1-3 and 8-10.

A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles M. Schulz, Bill Melendez, Lee Mendelson & Eric SchaefferDirected by Natalie Philpot. This classic animated television special comes to life in this faithful stqge adaptation in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang discover the true meaning of Christmas. Broadway World called it “the perfect holiday treat, especially for young children and adults young at heart.” Performance date is December 16.

Jack and the BeanstalkMissoula Children’s Theatre
What happens when a young boy plants Wonder Beans in his own backyard? For Jack, it is the beginning of a great adventure. With a little help from P.T. Wonder and a Giant, Jack learns a valuable lesson about true happiness. This musical production also features a host of other characters, including Elegant Harp, Jill Mother, Milky White, the Farmers, the Merchants, the Circus Performers and the Wonder Beans. The Dorset Players continue to host The Missoula Children’s Theatre. Sixty plus children between the ages of 5-18 are cast in the hour-long musical production. After rehearsing for the entire week, the cast gives two performances on Saturday to often sold-out audiences. The Players take great pleasure in welcoming members of the community to our theatre, many of whom may not have visited the Playhouse before. Performances are January 20 at 2pm & 7pm.

Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day. Performances are April 5-7 and 12-14.

9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick. Directed by Christy Vogel with Musical Direction by Matthew Steckler and Choreographed by Lina Cloffe, 9 to 5 The Musical is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she? Performances are May 17–19 and 24–26.
